Enjoying art and buying art

At Museum Mhlmann you can, apart from enjoying art, also buy art. To do so you need to visit the gallery, as buying art is a very personal matter. No picture - however perfectly reproduced - could ever rival seeing the artwork with your own eyes.

Museum Mhlmann owns three collections: The Canto-Collection, the Møhlmann-Collection I (present-day realistic and figurative works) and the Møhlmann-Collection II (work of the painter himself). Not a single work of these collections is for sale.

Apart from that Museum Mhlmann organizes a yearly exhibition (Februari-March) with paintings of Rob Møhlmann. These works are for sale. After the exhibition the paintings are not on display anymore, but still for sale. Throughout the year a number of Rob’s paintings will be exhibited (and for sale) at the "coffee-corner".

After this exhibition, four "guest-exhibitions" will be held, exclusively with work of fellow-artists. Nearly all these works are for sale. Sometimes this is not the case, as the guest is free to exhibit works that are either privately owned by a third party or are part of their private collection. In that case this is clearly indicated.

Once a year, during the so-called Independent Realists Exhibition the Museum Mhlmann exhibits over one hunderd works by over thirty renowned colleagues. Nearly all these works are for sale, although a few might be on loan. Also in that case this would be clearly indicated.
