The Møhlmann Collection is the second -slowly increasing- collection that finds accomodation in the museum and contains a good 100 works of art, carried out in all sorts of techniques: from bronze to coloured crayon and from oilpaint to "dry needle". It mostly consists of recent works of appreciated colleagues. Of course one cannot speak of a highly developed purchasing-policy, for there is a constant lack of money. There is no budget and no subsidy of any kind. Still Rob and Laura will persist in trying to obtain some fine works for their collection to show the public. |

A collection often is a mirror of personal interest and taste and in this the Møhlmann Collection is no exception. All the same Museum Møhlmann does try to purchase those works of art that are also exemplary for the particular artist. Of course this ideal is aiming too high, but at whatever heights one runs aground, the view will always be wider then at the bottom. |
