4. Impressionism

Shortly after the impressionists took over power. They plied their brushes with a great deal more verve in order to catch the moment as pointedly as they could. In spite of their seemingly coarser technique, they were in fact the first who actually dealt with pure reality. They often painted just what they happened to see.
