Extra: Tribute to Dieuwke Bakker

Last year the Mokum-foundation organized the first exhibition as a tribute to Dieuwke Bakker, on the occasion of which a prize of f 5000,- is presented. Dick Pieters was the first artist to win this prize. It’s a two-yearly prize, but because Dieuwke Bakker would have reached the age of 65 this year, the foundation has decided to organise the exhibition and the presentation of the prize again this year, to be held at the Museum Møhlmann. Museum Møhlmann will gladly oblige, although there are some problems concerning the date (the brithday of Dieuwke Bakker, September 11), as round that time the yearly Independent Realists Exhibition is held. It’s been decided that the tribute-exhibition to Dieuwke Bakker will be held simultaneously with the Independent Realists Exhibition, running from September 8 - October 1.
