This year sees the 11th edition of this exhibition. Since 1998 a motley crowd or realists make a yearly appearance: the excel in variation, vision and great skill. The one has a fluent and smooth hand, another works incredibly precisely. They work with stone, bronze, zinc, on canvas or on paper. The ingredients are simple, but the results astonishing. Considering that not so long ago (realistic) art was declared dead in the media by folk that pretended to be in the know. As a matter of fact, we didn't really notice any such thing. And do you remember that is wasn't supposed to be art, if one could recognize what was depicted? Well, we still feast our eyes on it. And see, representative art is again "legalized" today, and it enjoys a growing interest. This, however, has a side-effect, as due to the growing popularity, there is also dreadful work being made, and there's a lot of copying and pinching going on. But after all, this is something that is of all times. But believe me: In a hunderd years time (or later) people will look back at our time - perhaps from a intergalactic comfy chair and in a spatial perspective - and they will be likely to conclude that this was indeed another Golden Age. And you were a witness of this.
